The Isuzu D-Max eV-Cross is the flagship of the all-electric D-Max range - the pick-up that proves going electric does not have to mean giving anything up. A 66.9 kWh lithium-ion battery feeds a motor on each axle for 149.3 kW and 347.6 Nm of instantly available torque, with full-time four-wheel drive as standard.

Underneath, the award-winning D-Max platform has been re-engineered around the electric drivetrain with a strengthened ladder chassis, so the eV-Cross still carries over a tonne, tows up to 3.5 tonnes, clears 210 mm and wades to 600 mm. It is a genuine working pick-up that happens to be emissions-free at the tailpipe.

The eV-Cross adds the range-topping styling and equipment: a dark grey grille and door handles, matt dark grey 18-inch alloy wheels, black side steps, LED front fog lights and EV-specific badging. Inside, premium leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, piano black trim, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a 9-inch multifunction colour touchscreen and an eight-speaker sound system make it as comfortable at the weekend as it is capable during the week.
